Historical note: This poster was produced following a long string of success in the Middle East, led by General Sir Frederick Maude, which culminated in the 11 March 1917 capture of Baghdad. It attempts to raise funds for the troops by appealing to the Mesopotamian Front, which was often in the news as reporters glorified the success of Maude.
