Description
"The number of riders on the 13 commuter rail lines in the Greater Philadelphia area has dropped 4.7 percent in the past year , a report prepared by SEPTA shows . The transit authority attributes the decline to a 10 percent faire hike that took effect May 1 and to 'inflation ' of the number of riders on the rail lines last year because of a 44-day strike against Philadelphia's bus , subway and trolley lines. " The image shows a woman dressed in a shirt bearing the SEPTA logo and handing out flyers from a city bus . City Hall is visible in the background of the image .
