Description
Image shows an iron spearhead held by the University of Pennsylvania Museum . It was recovered and separated from its shaft by the Eckley B . Cox , Jr . Nubian expedition twenty years ago in a cemetery of Buken . The spearhead dates from the Twelfth Egyptian Dynasty , or between 2000 to 1788 B.C.E . The relic is nearly a thousand years older than any other known iron piece .
