Johanna Lovinger-Meyer and family members in 1923 Berlin. From the collection of Johanna Lovinger-Meyer (b. 1874), matriarch of an upper-middle class German-Jewish family. She was the first woman radio announcer in Germany. She and her family fled Nazi-Germany in 1938 and lived in Philadelphia until her death in 1958.
