The Philadelphia Jewish Archives Photographs digital collection is a selection of digitized images from many of the individual and family papers and organization records found within the Philadelphia Jewish Archives Collection. While some collections are represented by a single or even a few digitized photographs, other collections are represented by a significant number of digitized photographs, including:
With funding provided by the Robert Saligman Charitable Foundation, the Philadelphia Jewish Archives Center digitized and cataloged over 2700 photographs from their collections. This legacy collection of digitized photographs, acquired by Temple University Libraries in 2009, is contained within the Philadelphia Jewish Archives Photographs digital collection. In the description section for all legacy photographs, the term “Legacy” is indicated in the Source field. Users are encouraged to contact Special Collections Research Center staff at firstname.lastname@example.org when citing legacy photographs to verify accuracy of image description and copyright status.
