This digital collection contains photographs digitized from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Philadelphia Branch Records, an archival collection held by the Special Collections Research Center. The Philadelphia Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People institutes and supports legal and other actions in the fields of civil rights, discrimination, education, housing, employment and law enforcement. This collection consists of correspondence, minutes, case records, reports, membership files, clippings, photographs, plaques and awards, audio tapes, and other records from the executive secretary and field secretary, as well as from the North Philadelphia Action Branch and the West Philadelphia Branch. The photographs consist mostly of unidentified and undated images, and include photography by John W. Mosley, Jack T. Franklin, and Peace Photo.
