Synopsis
Joey is concerned when D.J. lies about finishing her homework.
Worse, Uncle Jesse sees D.J. at a dance with a beer can in her
hand. No one will believe that she was not drinking, just taking
the can away from boys who were. Soon D.J. is
"grounded" for drinking and lying.
Somehow D.J. gets back to the dance
to find that her date, Kevin and his friends
have been suspended for drinking. Kevin tells
Joey that D.J. told the
truth: she did not drink
with them.
Uncle Jesse apologizes for not believing D.J.,
but explains that substance abuse
has ruined the lives of so many of his
friends, that he could not bear to think
of his niece making the same mistake. They
hug, both wiser from the evening's
experience.
